MANTECA INNOVATIONS

We're off and running at Manteca Innovations.

Manteca Unified School District offers an Independent Study program for students in ninth through 12th grades.

Formerly known as BE. The Tech, Manteca Innovations program is a component of the district's Careers Technical Education pathway. The program integrates academic knowledge with technical knowledge.

As Principal of Manteca Adult School, Brad Harrison oversees CTE programs at the district office complex and Lathrop High. Students can take courses like industrial maintenance, welding and fabrication, fire science, and first responder and emergency medicine at the latter.

Having restructured MUSD, I believe we have finally solved the kinks, he said Wednesday.

According to Ryan Costa, employers in the area are in need of warehouse workers outside of entry-level positions or higher paying jobs.

The company is looking for people who know how to fix hydraulic systems and electro-pneumatic systems. According to him, they want someone who can handle a variety of tasks.

We offer some of the latest machinery and instructors who are knowledgeable about it at Manteca Innovations.

The Manteca District Ambulance has been serviced by Angela Ott for several years as both a teacher and EMT. During this turnout drill, students in her Introduction to Fire Science class were required to put on their fire equipment gear quickly.

A 39-second time was achieved by Sierra High's Luke Abreu.

It is imperative to act quickly (in an emergency situation), Ott said.

Combat medicine is James Ward's background. About a decade ago, he was looking for Physical Education in MUSD. The job was not what she was qualified for, but she was an excellent emergency physician.

Students from Sierra, Manteca High, East Union, Weston Ranch, and Lathrop can take the National Registry Test for EMTs before graduating.

There is a close connection between the classes Costa teaches and the classes Mike Patterson teaches.

A long-time instructor at MUSD, Costa has taught for many years. Here, he teaches industrial manufacturing and maintenance.

Our money and resources are being invested in this program.

In addition to earning occupational credentials and microcredentials via Smart Automation Certification Alliance, Amatrol's innovative, interactive training systems offer Electrical Wiring Learning, Applied Electrical Control, and AC / DC Electrical, among others.

Costa also offers classes in advanced manufacturing, including lasers, plasmas, and 3-D printers.

Patterson, who taught BE.Tech classes for six years at the district, said his classes are modeled after Ryan's.

The equipment he uses in his welding and fabrication classes is in the cutting-edge.

LHS' Patterson is grateful for $400,000 worth of steel donated by CBC Steel Buildings of Lathrop for his machine shop.

Harrison was equally grateful.

The shop is state-of-the-art. A place like this is a blessing for our kids, he said.

As part of their career path, students in Manteca Innovations take advanced courses at Modesto Junior College, Delta College or a trade school of their choice as well as gaining a trade and a certification.

This program has been complemented by the Manteca Adult School and local junior colleges.
